Holiday on Camping Cadi Vacances – 25th  July 2013 – 30th July 2013

We are a familiy of four from The Netherlands, two parents and two sons who were 11 and 12 by then.

We had a holiday of 2,5 weeks in Spain, of which we spent 5 nights on the Camping Cadi Vacances in Gosol in a bungalow. We have very good memories. We drove via Andorra and the Cadi Tunnel and we noticed that the landscape became more desolate with beautiful mountains, which we love. The Pedraforca mountain of course could not be missed. We were very curious to know where we would end up and how our bungalow would look like. We arrived a little bit too early, the reception was still closed, but we had a drink and looked around. Then we got the key to our bungalow number 10, which was perfect. We settled in and then went to the swimming pool. The views on Pedraforca and the ruins of Gosol were fantastic. That night we bought flaming torches for the medieval feast of the return of the Cathars (el Retorn dels Catars) since we wanted to join the nightwalk with torches to the castle ruin on Saturday night.

We really liked Gosol, a beautiful, very small village and we were lucky that the medieval feast was held that week. There was a nice market and lots of entertainment in the village. We also made some nice walks in the mountains that week. For instance in Palomera and the mirador de Gresolet.

And everyday we enjoyed the swimming pool, played tabletennis, airhockey and pool.

The walk with the torches was very impressive and we felt really lucky to be able to participate.

Also we booked a Via Ferada tour via the reception on the campground. We met our guide in Vallcebre and with him we climbed some very steep rocks in L’Empalomar. A bit scary to be honest, but once on the top we really felt very proud.

We felt very sorry that we had to leave on the 30th of July.

We wish to thank everybody on the campground for the very pleasant stay we had.

Maybe in the future we can come back again!
